WINTER NOTE: In the winter, the pace is slower and start time and location can change at the last minute. text/email me (see above) if you are interested in joining us.
*****
SUMMER TIME:
This will usually be a hilly ride. Summer time routes are usually 50-60 miles, includes a refuel stop, and will always be published in advance. Expect 18-20 mph overall average (pending hilliness; 20+ if mostly flat) and pace at 21-24 mph on the flats (but assume 21-22 pace to not get dropped). This is a drop ride, but we will regroup at the top of climbs, but otherwise please be able to hold the pace. Note: when we start in S. Lebanon, the bike trail (to car lot) is never too far away if needed. ______
Start time/location (which sometimes will change), route, and cancellations will be published prior to each ride by e-mail through CCC-Advanced ride line; text or email me if you don’t get these notifications. Any weather cancellations will be published 75 minutes prior to ride. Helmet is required. CCC membership encouraged, but not required. Feel free to call/text/email me with any questions.

Ride leader--Chan Stevens This is a self-supported ride, though routes will generally include opportunities to at least water up every 30-40 miles. Speed will vary based upon the route, but the general target will be to return to origin no later than 6-6.5 hours after start for an effective average of 16 mph including stops, or about 17-18-ish rolling average. The general plan is to start out with relatively flat and easy routes, building in challenge each month, with each ride typically being something like an out/back or circuit ride to an interesting destination. July‘s route takes us to Cowen Lake and plenty of gentle rolling terrain. 101 miles, 2800 feet of total climb. GPS route link--https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27227740

Join us for the 2nd brewery ride of the summer with our ‘BIKE to Branch & Bone‘ ride on Saturday, July 27!

This will be about a 30 mile ride - mostly bike path! We will leave from Spoken Bicycles at 3pm and finish at Branch & Bone (905 Wayne Ave, Dayton). There will be two areas we will have to ride on the road, first being in Franklin for a couple miles to connect to the bike path and second being in Dayton to get to our final destination. Once we get there, we‘ll enjoy some of the best beer around!

Please note, this is a ONE WAY trip. Please plan on having a ride meet you at the finish, or feel free to ride both ways but the way back might be on your own. It is a group ride, but we may get split up - so ride as if it was a self supported ride.

Hope you can make it! If you haven‘t had any Branch & Bone Artisan Ales yet you‘re in for a treat! They have brewed a special session IPA just for this event!
