Contact: Pat Henry 513-907-9580 Ride Leaders: Pat Henry, Kelley Gentner, Kevin Bates Helmet is required Sunset is at 8:07 Should be dry and no too windy Headlight and taillight are required. Guidelines and Precautions: Where indicated, some items are recommended by the CDC and others are specific to us in the cycling world. Stay at home if you begin to feel unwell, even with mild symptoms such as headache and slight runny nose, until you recover.  (WHO).  Most science out there says you need to be within six feet of someone sick for ten minutes or longer to contract the flu or a virus from them.   IF you have a fever of 100.4 or higher STAY HOME! IF you have labored breathing or a cough when you take a deep breath please stay home. Break into groups of 10 or less, unless riding in Indiana. Keep in mind that most public park rest rooms are still closed, although some places on the trail do have open port-o-lets. Feel free to bring a mask for rest stops etc, if that helps you feel safe. Bring a handkerchief or rag to carry on the ride.  Kleenex, tissues and such don‘t do so well when mixed with sweat. Practice a no touch policy.   Avoid shaking hands, unnecessary hugs and the like.  We all love each other for sure, a little restraint. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth (WHO) Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue (CDC) On the ride, no snot rockets or spitting, or... drop off the very back of the group to perform this act. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol

The rout is usually sent out at the day of a ride. We regroup every few miles to make sure that group stays together. Here is the plan for our Iffy Sub this weekend. The forecast I have been watching has jumped back and forth between rain and no rain. With that in mind I’m planning a 11:00am start with a backup plan of starting at 1:00pm if it rains in the morning. I will decide in the morning and send an email at 10:00am. If it is raining or wet in the morning we will try 1:00pm. If it’s not an issue I could go later. Now the ride details: Date: Sunday, April 11, 2021 Start Time: 11:00am. Backup 1:00pm Start Location: Campbell County High School, 909 Camel Crossing, Alexandria, KY 41001 Distance: 56 miles Climbing: 2,751 feet of climbing Food Stops: Two – Second one will have chicken. Pace: 16 – 17mph – I HOPE Terrain: Three climbs, Cruise Creek, Kidwell, and Pleasant Hill. We will also do one of my favorite roads – Alexander Rd.

This is one of Warren County‘s weekly rides. We typically have two or three groups with about 4-10 riders, each. A typical average speed for slowest group is 15 -16 mph and for fastest group is 17 - 19 mph. We usually head north to the hilly Oregonia and Caesars Creek so expect some climbing. Depending on the amount of daylight we usually do about 30 miles, at the beginning and at the end of the season, and up to 50 miles in the peak of the season. All groups are No Drop rides. The rout is usually sent out at the day of a ride. We regroup every few miles to make sure that group stays together. Please let group ride leader know if you are planning to separate from your group otherwise, he might start looking for you.
