This is a self-supported ride, though routes will generally include opportunities to at least water up every 30-40 miles. Speed will vary based upon the route, but the general target will be to return to origin no later than 6-6.5 hours after start for an effective average of 16 mph including stops, or about 17-18-ish rolling average.

The general plan is to start out with relatively flat and easy routes, building in challenge each month, with each ride typically being something like an out/back or circuit ride to an interesting destination.

For May, we start to get into some gentle rollers and small climbs, heading out east into scenic country. The route includes some camera-worthy passes by Grant Lake and East Fork. 102 miles, 2550 feet of climb.
