The Licking Valley Century is the third ride of the five part Kentucky Challenge Series.


This years event is now SOLD OUT.

Enjoy the beauty and challenge of riding the ridge tops and valleys of Northern Kentucky. See for yourself why many cyclists call this area “God’s country”. You will enjoy beautiful valleys and amazing vistas while pedaling along roads with very little traffic. 

We have so many fun event features to announce! 

Friday early packet pickup will drive up style outside on Kenton Circle Drive right in front of the NKU Student Union Bldg at Northern Kentucky University.  Our wonderful volunteers will be handing out nicely stuffed rider packets and ABCO safety will be providing cool Licking Valley Century drawstring bags to hold all your goodies.  While picking up your packet you will also be able to confirm your registration and instructions for the KY Challenge Series. 

Saturday morning there will be a DJ playing in the morning to get everyone ready to roll and Resers Bike shop will be on hand to make sure your bike is tuned and ready.

Did someone say fresh baked treats? At the first rest stop in Butler, KY the MillStone Cafe will be serving fresh baked goodies to energize you and keep everyone rolling with a smile.
 
Beloved charity ride the Great Pumpkin Roll Ride will be hosting a themed rest stop in Lenoxburg, KY. 

The last rest stop is not to be missed.  12 Mile Creek Winery is hosting AND the famous Kona Ice Truck will be serving cold treats to help everyone cool down and cruise to the finish line.

At the finish line there will be a DJ to keep things fun and post ride massages available for purchase.  Make sure to check in at the KY Century Challenge table and record your mileage to get credit towards the 2021 challenge.   

Four Mile Pig will be serving up tasty post ride meals that are included in your registration. Alexandria Brewing Company will have their beer truck at the finish line and offering nice cold brews for purchase and 12 Mile Creek Winery will be offering wine for sale.

If you have never been on these roads before you are in for a real treat.  

Register early!  There is a rider limit and we do expect the ride to sell out.

The Licking Valley Century features rolling terrain over low traveled roads.


There are ride distances of 100, 65, 42, and 29 miles.   Below are the links to the routes.

All registrations include fully stocked rest stops, SAG, route markings and maps and a wonderful post ride meal.

Early Packet Pickup

Where: Northern Kentucky University (NKU)
    Kenton Circle Drive right in front of the NKU Student Union Bldg.
            111 Highland Heights, KY 41099.

When:   Friday, June 25,  4 pm - 8 pm
 

Day of ride details:

Registration opens at 6 am
Ride start for the 102, and 65 miles at 7:30 am
Ride start for the 29 and 41 miles at 8:30 am
post ride meal at finish line from 11 – 5 pm.

Kentucky Century Challenge check in:
Post ride make sure you bring your Garmin or other device with proof of your century completion to the Kentucky Challenge tent get credit towards the challenge.

Event proceeds benefit the Henry Hosea House in Newport, KY a wonderful local food bank that fed over 48,000 meals in 2020.

Early Bird until December 31   $50 ( includes ride t-shirt)

January 1 – April 30    $55 (includes ride t-shirt)

May 1 – May 25    $65 (includes ride t-shirt) ** last day for t-shirts is May 25

May 26 – June 25    $65

Day of Registration    $70 on June 26
