CycleNation for AHA - join team CCC

Please join the Cincinnati Cycle Club team at Fountain Square on Thursday, October 5th at the CycleNation event for the American Heart Association and help make a difference!

Event Details:

CycleNation is a fun, exciting event that takes place on Fountain Square. Forty teams ride spin bikes during the event, competing to ride the greatest distance, but more importantly, raising money to support the fight against heart disease and stroke. We ride for those who can’t, those who have lost their lives and for those who are still writing their comeback stories. With each push of the pedal, we are saving lives.

This year, however, AHA has agreed to set aside five bikes for community teams, and this is where CCC comes in. Community teams only need to raise $1,200 per team.

We need a team of 8 people.

Team details:

Since the charity event is also a competition, I would love to see a strong team of 8 in CCC Jerseys and let's make a difference for the American Heart Association, but kick some booty at the same time.

CCC will donate $50 for each of the 8 entrants.

Each CCC Participant is then required to fundraise (or pay) just $100. You are welcome to fundraise above that and help the American Heart Association.

Registration begins at 3:30pm

Ride begins at 4:30pm. We suggest that each rider arrive no later than 4PM.

What kind of ride is CycleNation- road or stationery?

CycleNation Cincinnati utilizes stationary bikes. Your team of 4-8 riders takes turns over two hours, individually riding on your team bike. We suggest you chat with your team in advance about the length of time per person, but there is no set amount required. Each rider can hop on and off at their leisure as long as there is one rider on your team’s bike at all times.

What if our team wants to compete against other teams?

We will have some friendly competition for those that want to compete against other riders! We will award the Top 3 teams that log the most miles within the 2-hour ride time.

What do I wear to CycleNation?

Please wear comfortable exercise clothes that are appropriate for bike riding.

The stationary bikes have capability SPD clip-in shoes, although regular tennis shoes will also work perfectly fine!

What is the rain plan?

If there is inclement weather, we will notify our participants about the change in venue. The back up venue location will be held at Rhinegeist (1910 Elm St, Cincinnati, OH 45202).
