Wiener Dog Ride -- CANCELED

Ride Start:  Reser Bicycle Outfitters 648 Monmouth St, Newport, KY 41071. this is not related to the shop and as such, please do not take up their parking. Parking is likely to be tough with Oktoberfest starting up, so make sure to arrive early and meet at the store by 9 am.

Start Time: The ride will start at 9 am. I will be there at 830am to help get people signed in, and go over any additional instructions prior

Ride Leader: Daniel Budin

Ride Rating: Intermediate, expect an average speed between 13-16 mph. We will be riding 24-30 miles, route will be updated prior to event.

Description:  Dog lovers, people who like big events, bike riding, people who like dogs in cute outfits, its time to unite all of these things for a fun ride! The first big event of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati every year is the Running of the Wieners!!! Heats of 10 dachsunds run their hearts out in hot dog buns to find out who is the fastest wiener of the city! I have been trying to catch this event that starts at 11:30am 9/15/23 for several years now, and finally planned well enough to do it, but first we have to earn the ability to see the dogs run. 

We will meet at Reser Bicycle Outfitters, and do a 24-30 mile ride (Dependent on if I decide to add more distance or hills), and afterwards I will be heading across the river to a local event held downtown, others are welcome to join me.
