Ride Calendar - Event View

Intro to Bicycle Touring is a weekend event that offers the opportunity to practice the critical elements of bicycle touring to build your confidence in joining longer events. This route follows the bike path to Milford and then connects to low use roads on the loop. This will build your confidence to tour beyond the bike paths and to overcome those hills that are not on rail trails.

The route is a maximum of 80 miles for the 3 days starting at Little Miami Golf Center. There are optional start locations along the bike path to lengthen or shorten the total distance.

The event will provide you multiple opportunities to practice loading your bike, setting up your sleep system and cooking. The camp sites are Ohio State Park campgrounds with water, electricity and showers.  

Day 1 - Little Miami Golf Center to Stone Lick State Park (27 miles)
Day 2 - Stone Lick State Park to East Fork State Park (23 miles) 
Day 3 - East Fork State Park to Little Miami Golf Center (27 miles)

Fees of $20 per participant is due on Registration - your slot will not be confirmed until payment is received, John or Scott will contact you with fee payment information upon receiving your registration notification. 

If you are interested in bicycle touring but aren't ready to invest in the gear - there are several members of the group that have racks the camping gear to lend for this event. 

Attendees pay for their own charges
